The big upgrade over the original iLX-W670 is the addition of iDatalink Maestro compatibility when used with the compatible Maestro interface module.

The iLX-W670-M includes Alpine’s Sound Boost menu with Bass Boost, Mid-Bass Boost, subwoofer controls, and easy audio adjustments. It also includes Lighting Link control for compatible Alpine PrismaLink subwoofer enclosures, allowing you to control enclosure lighting directly from the touchscreen.
This makes the iLX-W670-M a great foundation for a full Alpine sound system upgrade.
Alpine gives you serious sound control with a 13-band graphic equalizer, 6-channel time correction, and crossover control for the front speakers, rear speakers, and subwoofer. The iLX-W670-M also includes three pairs of 4V RCA pre-outs for front, rear, and subwoofer amplifier connections.
Whether you are keeping the factory speakers, adding an amplifier, upgrading speakers, or building a full system, the iLX-W670-M gives you the tuning tools needed to get better sound.
The iLX-W670-M uses an ultra-shallow 2.4-inch chassis and is PowerStack capable. This allows compatible Alpine KTA-450 or KTA-200M Power Pack amplifiers, sold separately, to mount directly to the back of the radio.
PowerStack capability is ideal when you want more power without taking up extra space under a seat, behind a panel, or in the trunk.
The major difference between the discontinued iLX-W670 and the new iLX-W670-M is iDatalink Maestro compatibility.
When installed with the compatible iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR or Maestro interface solution, the Alpine iLX-W670-M can provide enhanced integration with select factory vehicle systems. Depending on the vehicle and Maestro application, this may allow retention or display of factory features such as steering wheel controls, vehicle information, performance gauges, climate information, parking sensor information, factory amplifier integration, and other vehicle-specific functions.

The Alpine iLX-W670-M includes a dedicated camera input, making it easy to add a rear-view camera or compatible front-view camera. A backup camera upgrade can make parking, reversing, and maneuvering in tight spaces much easier.
