Python 7211P 2-Way Remote Control

The Python 7211P provided 2-way remote start control with LED and audible confirmation for compatible Python remote start systems. Its simple single-button design allowed the driver to activate remote start while receiving confirmation back from the vehicle's system.

The original Python-branded 7211P is no longer manufactured. Customers replacing a lost or damaged 7211P should use the current Viper 7211V replacement remote.

The replacement 7211V is a genuine new remote control from the original manufacturer. No knock-offs and no reprogrammed returns — just an authentic replacement remote designed for compatible Directed Electronics systems.

Please make sure you have a working compatible control system installed in the vehicle before ordering the replacement remote control. Programming requires access to the system's valet/programming switch.

Programming the 7211 Remote Control

Note: Make sure the system is disarmed and the status LED has been off for a minimum of 60 seconds before beginning the remote pairing process.

For systems equipped with remote start:

1. Open the driver's door.
2. Turn the ignition ON.
3. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/programming button once, then press and hold the system's valet/programming button. The status LED will begin flashing and the siren or horn, if connected, will sound to confirm the system is ready for pairing. Continue holding the programming button.
4. Press the START button on the 7211 remote. The vehicle's horn or siren will sound, if connected, confirming that the remote has successfully been learned to the remote start system.
5. Turn the ignition OFF and wait approximately 60 seconds.

Note: Compatible 2-way remotes will provide audible and/or visual confirmation after successfully pairing with the system.

Replaced by the Viper 7211V

The Viper 7211V is the recommended current replacement for the discontinued Python 7211P. It retains the familiar single-button 2-way operation and is designed for compatible Python, Viper and Clifford remote start systems.
