A dash camera proves its value when footage is needed after a collision, dangerous driving event or parking incident. The ACADC5 goes beyond basic recording by combining high-resolution front and rear video with Sony STARVIS imaging, wide viewing angles and intelligent alerts designed to add useful awareness on the road.
The front camera records in 4K Ultra HD at 30 frames per second while the rear camera records in 1080p Full HD at 30 frames per second. Both cameras provide a wide 140-degree field of view to capture more of the roadway around your vehicle.
Emergency recordings are protected when the G-sensor detects an impact. Each event clip includes approximately five seconds before and fifteen seconds after the detected event, helping preserve the moments that matter.
The ACADC5 uses computer-vision technology to provide audible and visual alerts for changing conditions ahead and around the vehicle. Available functions include:
Driver-assistance alerts are supplemental and may not detect every vehicle, pedestrian, lane marking or hazard. They do not replace attentive driving, safe vehicle operation or driver judgment.
A Sony STARVIS CMOS image sensor helps the front camera retain useful detail in darker driving conditions. Super Night Vision and Wide Dynamic Range processing help balance bright and dark areas when recording at night, around headlights, in shadows or during sudden lighting changes.
Wide Dynamic Range helps produce a more balanced image when very bright and very dark areas appear in the same scene. This can improve usable detail when entering or leaving tunnels, driving toward sunlight or recording nighttime traffic surrounded by bright signs and headlights.
Both cameras use wide 140-degree lenses to capture the roadway without relying on an excessively distorted view. Proper camera placement is essential for useful coverage, accurate AI calibration and the best possible recording through the vehicle glass.
Connect a compatible Apple or Android smartphone to the camera through built-in Wi-Fi and the VOXX ADAS app. Review or download recordings and adjust compatible camera settings without removing the memory card.
Built-in GPS records location and driving information with the footage, while the 3-inch color display provides convenient access to the camera view, menus and AI alerts inside the vehicle.
The VOXX ACADCHW parking-mode hardwire kit is included when the ACADC5 is professionally installed by Access 1.

Installation starts at $150 and varies by vehicle. Luxury, exotic, European, electric, hybrid and other vehicles requiring additional disassembly, wiring or integration may require additional labor or vehicle-specific parts.
With the ACADCHW hardwire kit installed, the ACADC5 can monitor for impact events while the vehicle is parked. A detected parking event creates a protected 20-second recording to help document activity around an unattended vehicle.
The ACADCHW hardwire kit is not included in the $299.99 retail camera box. Access 1 includes it with professional installation starting at $150.
