The biggest upgrade over the original iLX-W770 is the addition of iDatalink Maestro compatibility when used with the proper Maestro interface.
The Alpine iLX-W770-M builds on the iLX-W770 by adding iDatalink Maestro compatibility while retaining the wireless smartphone features drivers already loved.
It includes wireless Apple CarPlay®, wireless Android Auto™, Bluetooth®, SiriusXM readiness, PowerStack capability, camera input, and Alpine sound quality in a shallow double-DIN chassis.

The iLX-W770-M is PowerStack™ capable, allowing compatible Alpine KTA-Series Power Pack amplifiers, sold separately, to mount directly behind the radio.

The major difference between the original iLX-W770 and the new iLX-W770-M is iDatalink Maestro compatibility.
When installed with the compatible iDatalink Maestro interface, the Alpine iLX-W770-M can provide enhanced integration with select factory vehicle systems. Depending on the vehicle and Maestro application, this may allow retention or display of factory features such as steering wheel controls, vehicle information, performance gauges, climate information, parking sensor information, factory amplifier integration, and other vehicle-specific functions.
