The Avital 7147LSEC provides convenient wireless control of supported vehicle functions, including locking, unlocking and auxiliary operations, depending on the installed system and configuration.

The Avital 7147LSEC security remote is designed for and supplied with the newer 2103L, 3103L, 3103LX and 3308LS systems. It also works with the compatible older Avital systems listed below.
This security version has an asterisk on the button instead of the remote-start icon.
The Avital 7147LSEC replaces the 7143L and the previous-generation Avital transmitters listed below when the installed system and receiver support the same transmitter technology. The 7147LSEC uses the same remote-control platform as the 7147L and 7147LS, with an asterisk button marking for security applications.
What you receive: One genuine Avital 7147LSEC remote control. The other model numbers above are compatibility references only and are not included. Interchangeability must be confirmed against the installed system and receiver.
The Avital 7147LSEC is an original Directed Electronics 1-Way transmitter, not a generic reproduction or refurbished remote. It is intended for compatible Avital systems requiring this generation of remote-control technology.
Its four-button design provides convenient access to the functions supported by the installed system. The exact operation of each button depends on the vehicle's security or remote-start configuration.
When replacing a previous-generation remote, confirming the original transmitter model and installed receiver is especially important. We recommend verifying the replacement compatibility and system information before purchasing.
The Avital 7147LSEC is intended for newer systems listed above and select compatible older Avital vehicle security, keyless-entry and remote-start systems. Compatibility depends on the installed control module, antenna and receiver.
System Model Reference: The models above are reference applications associated with this generation of Avital equipment. Confirm the installed receiver and original transmitter before ordering. A system model alone does not guarantee compatibility across every revision.
Original Remote Identification: Check the model number and FCC ID printed on your existing remote control. Matching the original transmitter is the most reliable starting point.
Receiver Compatibility: Different generations of Avital equipment may use different transmitter technology. The installed antenna and receiver determine whether the 7147LSEC can be learned.
Programming Required: The Avital 7147LSEC must be programmed to a compatible, functioning system before use. Refer to the separate Programming Instructions tab.
Avital has offered several generations of remote controls for vehicle security and remote-start systems. Some earlier-generation transmitters share compatible receiver technology, but matching the Avital brand alone does not establish interchangeability.
When replacing an original remote, identify the model number on the back of the transmitter, check its FCC ID and verify the installed system's receiver. This helps ensure that the replacement can be successfully programmed.
Access 1 Alarm & Audio offers the actual original Avital 7147LSEC as a replacement for the 7143L and compatible previous-generation transmitters.
This listing supplies one genuine Avital 7147LSEC security remote with the asterisk button. The 7147LS also uses an asterisk marking, while the 7147L uses a remote-start icon.
The button marking identifies the version. Available functions depend on the installed system and configuration; a remote does not add remote-start capability to a security-only system.

Original 1-Way 4-Button Remote Control - Directed Electronics Learn Routine
Follow these instructions to program your Avital 7143L remote control to a compatible earlier-generation Avital security, keyless-entry or remote-start system.
Before beginning, locate the vehicle's Valet/Programming Switch. Earlier systems generally use a separate push-button installed beneath the dashboard. Some compatible systems use a programming button integrated into the windshield-mounted antenna or Control Center.
Make sure the security system is disarmed and the status LED has been OFF for at least 60 seconds.
On some older installations, the separate Valet/Programming Switch connects to the control module's BLUE two-pin port using a gray wire and a black wire with a gray stripe.
Have all remotes you intend to use available. Some systems require each transmitter to be programmed during the same learning session.
For compatible earlier-generation Avital remote-start systems using a separate Valet/Programming Switch.
For compatible earlier-generation Avital security-only or keyless-entry systems using a separate Valet/Programming Switch.
For compatible Avital remote-start systems equipped with a windshield-mounted Control Center containing an integrated programming button and status LED.
For compatible Avital security or keyless-entry systems equipped with a windshield-mounted Control Center and integrated programming button.
SEPARATE VALET/PROGRAM SWITCH: Usually mounted beneath the dashboard on earlier-generation systems.
WINDSHIELD CONTROL CENTER: Combines the status LED and programming button in one windshield-mounted assembly.
REMOTE-START SYSTEMS: The procedures above use one press-and-release followed by another press-and-hold.
SECURITY-ONLY SYSTEMS: The procedures above use seven press-and-release operations followed by holding the eighth press.
PROGRAMMING CONFIRMATION: Depending on the installed system, a siren chirp, horn sound or LED flash may confirm successful enrollment.
The Avital 7143L must be programmed to a compatible receiver and control module. Matching the brand name alone does not guarantee compatibility.
Programming sequences may vary by system generation and installed configuration. If your system does not respond as described, consult the installation or owner's manual for your specific Avital control module.
After programming, turn the ignition OFF, allow the system to exit programming mode, and test the supported remote functions.
