For compatible vehicles with a factory alarm capable of accepting the required sensor integration. Additional equipment or custom integration, if needed, is quoted separately.
The Directed 504D monitors physical impacts affecting the vehicle. For this factory alarm upgrade, the sensor is configured to respond to significant impacts only, providing a trigger signal to the connected alarm system.
When a qualifying impact is detected while the alarm is armed, a compatible factory security system can activate its alarm response, such as sounding the vehicle horn. Actual response depends on the vehicle's factory alarm capabilities and integration method.
The 504D is an accessory sensor, not a complete alarm system. Your vehicle must have a compatible alarm or security interface capable of responding to the sensor's trigger signal. Not every factory alarm supports this upgrade.
Our technicians will verify your vehicle's security system before installation. Heavy-impact detection supplements existing alarm protection but does not independently prevent unauthorized unlocking, key programming or vehicle starting.
Factory key fob-controlled upgrades rely on compatible factory security functions. For additional protection independent of factory disarming commands, ask us about a dedicated aftermarket alarm with its own remote control and available starter-disable features.
